Realms and Questions

Realms. Reality.
hushed tones, we cry ourselves to sleep.
Hush, hush
Realms. Nightmares.
running, dying, we cry ourselves awake.
Hush hush
That defining line between the two,
So thin, it can slice.

What do you do when your dreams and reality collide?
How do you tell them apart?
How do you accept what's happened?

How do you continue the journey?
How do you acknowledge your folly? -
when your reason for peace slips away.

How do you fill the void? -
You never knew would exist, until it did.
To seek answers to questions that none other can offer

Lost, guilt, anger, grief, hurt
Simultaneously
And still not mad?!

How should you feel when you missed expressing
love to that person you adore
by a whisper?

How do you be genuine?
How do you achieve happiness?
How do you rewind the clock?

How do you make up for what you've lost?
After all that's happened, how do you live?
and for all that will, Will my fears ever die?

Realms. Reality.
hushed tones, we cry ourselves to sleep.
Hush, hush
Realms. Nightmares.
running, dying, we cry ourselves awake.
Hush hush
That defining line between the two,
So thin, it can slice.

Of What I'm Left With

Tears drained away. Exhaustion engulfing me. Numbness.
Standing on the terrace, looking but not seeing or rather seeing beyond what lies before me.
A sense of stillness. The noises, muffled by thought. But not a thought that's passing my mind.
Just recollection. An attempt of acceptance at what had just happened.
Life twisted and contorted in a span of seconds. The unexpected. But yet expected.
Confusion. Distortion. Movement.
Tears flowing like the milky way.
Praying to be blind. But still thankful for sight.
Cursing my sanity from my very core.
Trapped in a world of reality. Acknowledging my guilt.
Gasping for breath as it all hits me.
A moan of agony.
Then, moans of agony.
A deadened stare into the distance. So much more dead than yours.
Reasoning my actions. Reading my psyche. Hating reason.
Disillusioned. The coward I've been to ignore fate.
I was so close. But a million sand grains away. A million.
Battling to grasp on to a tangible fantasy.
Now I'm left with only memories of you.
